Construction Process
The process of completing an addition with Venetian Builders can be broken down into some simple steps,
- Site Inspection and Design Consultation: This is the first meeting between you and the Venetian Builders project coordinator. During this meeting, we will take measurements, pictures, and specifications on your existing home, we will listen to your intended use for the room and how you would like the room to appear visually, we will discuss your budget and get an idea how the room should be built.
- Design and Estimating: After discussion with our engineering team, we will create a digital version of your room, this is created with highly sophisticated software called AutoCad, we will create a full rendering of what your room will look like and show you various design and functionality options. This rendering is truly photo realistic and will be placed onto a picture of your home so that you can see how the room adds to your existing space. After completing the rooms design, we will estimate the costs involved in bringing the picture to life, we break the costs down by project type and outline how payments are made etc…
- Engineering and Permitting: Once we have decided on the design and agreed on a price, our engineering team creates a structural plan for the room, we detail every beam and materials to be used in the construction of your addition. This engineering plan is then submitted to the local building authority for building code approval.
- Construction: After receiving our approved Building Permit, the Venetian Builders field team takes over; we pour foundation, fabricate walls and roofing and complete the project in an organized and timely manner. All Venetian Builders room additions are built by highly skilled craftsmen; all of our jobsites are closely controlled by one of our Job Superintendents who will be directly responsible for all details of the construction process.
- Completion: After receiving a certificate of occupancy from the Building Department, we will do one last walk through of the project with you to be sure nothing has been overlooked, we then turn the room over for your family to enjoy.
